Bolivia Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens


Tourist Visa Requirements
  • TOURIST VISA:

    • Submit your signed passport having two (2) completely blank “visa” pages and 6 months validity beyond the travel dates. If you need help securing, renewing or updating your passport, please contact GenVisa at 800-845-8968 for requirements and fees.
    •  Visa Application form, fully completed, printed and signed.
    • 1 Recent Professional Passport-type photograph.
    • Clear copy of Driver’s License or government ID in each traveler’s name as proof of residence.
    • Original Yellow Fever Certificate is required.
    • For Residents of NY, FL and Washington D.C, must provide Good Conduct Certificate or Police Record from local Police Department.
    • Copy of return or onward tickets or travel agency/airline itinerary in each traveler’s name.
    • A copy of your hotel confirmation or letter of invitation from friends or relatives in Bolivia.
      A letter of invitation must indicate host address.
    • A copy of the most recent bank statement.

Business Visa Requirements
  • BUSINESS VISA

    • Submit your signed passport having two (2) completely blank “visa” pages and 6 months validity beyond the travel dates. If you need help securing, renewing or updating your passport, please contact GenVisa at 800-845-8968 for requirements and fees.
    • Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
    • 1 Recent Professional Passport-type photograph.
    • Clear copy of Driver’s License or government ID in each traveler’s name as proof of residence.
    • Original Yellow Fever Certificate is required.

    • A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Bolivia, Visa Section, Washington D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:

    • The purpose of travel
    • Business reference to be visited in Bolivia
    • Guarantee financial support for the applicant while in Bolivia
    • Return transportation to the U.S.A

  • Add $45.00 per person for expedited service within 21 days.
  • Add $65.00 per person for expedited service within 14 days.

Consular Fee:

  • $165.00 per visa, tourist visa multiple entries valid for 5 years
  • $90.00 per visa, business visa single entries valid for 3 months

  • $24.00 FedEx 2nd Business Day
  • $55.00 FedEx Letter (Saturday Delivery)

Notes About Our Bolivia Visa & Passport Services

Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued. GenVisa can assist with obtaining U.S. Passports, whether new issue or renewal.

Special requirements exist for U.S. Official and Diplomatic passport holders.

Send ALL the requirements above (and a check payable to Generations Visa) via traceable form of mail to the Generations Visa office immediately. GenVisa will hand-carry your application to the Embassy if applicable. Please allow at least 14 business days of processing time.
